Blog Entry #2

During my observation, I have found that the teacher uses the behaviorism theory the most. She mostly uses the reward system of granting some extra time for recess if they are well behaved. Even though it has only added up to one extra minute (at most), the children thrive on earning the extra time, and when she takes away some time, they know they have messed up and work really hard to earn it back.

I have also noticed that the teacher writes on the board for everything. She explained to me that she received some advice from past teachers who say certain students in her classroom are visual learners and learn better when you write basic facts on the board. She also does a lot of creative hands on projects because some students benefit from that type of learning.
